We are looking for a multi-skilled handyperson for one of our largest Higher Education Clients to work within their In House Estates Team based at Denmark Hill. The role is responsible for completing planned and routine maintenance, undertaking maintenance and fabric repairs, completing visual checks of M&E assets and whilst managing their own workload and working alongside Qualified Technicians.

This Multi Skilled Maintenance role based in South East London is versatile, with multiple duties and responsibilities. You will be working for a great team and a brilliant Manager who will look to train and develop you within your career. This is a permanent post. 

Within this Maintenance role you will...

  • Carry out multi trade maintenance and planned maintenance to a high standard including M&E, fire bell testing, water compliance tasks and emergency light testing.  
  • Flushing and Legionella management 
  • Complete minor fabric repairs including repairing doors, flooring and decorating. 
  • Meet requested completion dates on assigned works and planned works. 
  • Complete visual inspections of M&E assets. 
  • Raise any remedial work with the management team. 
  • Complete paperwork associated with planned maintenance promptly and to a high standard. 

For this building services maintenance role in Denmark Hill we are looking for:

  1. Experience of Legionella management, flushing or basic plumbing 
  2. Demonstrable carpentry, and electrical knowledge 
  3. IT literate particularly in Excel 
  4. Flexible attitude and team player 
  5. Good health and safety knowledge particularly around planned maintenance 
  6. Willingness to learn and develop 
  7. Legionella awareness 
  8. Excellent customer service skills 
  9. IOSH Working Safely 
  10. Experience of managing assigned work through a CAFM app / system (iPad usage)
