We are looking for someone who wants a stable career client side and who wants to progress within management in building services. 

Within this Assistant Maintenance Manager role at this prestigious University you will have the opportunity to work with the In-House senior management team to make improvements to the delivery of maintenance services, this is a role for someone who wants to be challenged and has the determination to strive for the best for themselves, and for their team. 

Within this Assistant Maintenance Manager role in London you will be tasked with a maintenance management position which will include the following duties:

  • Responsible for a team of directly employed supervisors/lead engineers and maintenance engineers on the central London campus across electrical and HVAC services
  • Responsible for the provision of hard services PPMs and reactive maintenance
  • Conducting statutory system and asset testing and report accordingly 
  • Feeding back on compliance issues and sharing information with other teams within estates, for example the sustainability team
  • Ensuring your team adhere to operational and regulatory building compliance at all times 
  • Responsible for optimising the operational performance of your team
  • Responsible for the health and safety of your buildings and staff at all times 
  • Responsible for permits to work and access to the buildings
  • Responsible for working with the Maintenance Manager to improve the effectiveness of the team including technical competency, safety, service delivery and any HR issues

This is a varied static assistant maintenance manager role for someone who wants to make a difference to their team and who wants to take responsibility for the maintenance remit for their campus location.  This is a role for someone who wants to work for an organisation that will give back! The hours for this role are Monday - Friday 8-4. 

For this Static Assistant Maintenance Manager role in central London we are looking for:

  • A technically competent Engineer who has progressed through to Management within Building Services 
  • Full electrical qualifications and multi skilled maintenance experience
  • Management experience of managing a team of engineers, to include improvement to existing teams and driving a great performance 
  • Health and Safety, Statutory Building regulations and Compliance knowledge and experience
  • Experience of having accountability of managing a team of engineers on a daily basis
